"Forgive Us This Day"
The Spirit of God Is Calling US...
Why so many Christians miss the grace of God!
I sincerely pray that this blog will help the reader to understand why so many bad things happen in their lives to a point they believe that God has deserted them.
In the instance, the devil is receiving credit for being more powerful than our, and his, creator.
In The Beginning: Steps to follow

Where does it all begin?
I hope you already know the answer to that, but I'll say it for those who may be a bit confused about it!
First, an understanding must be established that simply because a person grows up in a church setting does not make them a Christian. That's right it does NOT make them a Christian - believer.
It amazes me how many Christians, that I've taught the Spiritual side of the Bible to, have no idea what they are instructed to do in Romans 10:9, 10. Just in case you don't have your Bible with you, or you just don't feel like going to look it up; I'll fill you in here.
1. Romans 10:9, 10 - that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. 10. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Then read on to verse 11: "For the scripture says, whosoever believes on Him shall not be put to shame."
As plain as this is, some miss it. Why? Because this is a spiritual endeavor. Trying to put this into human, or worldly terms will not give you an understanding of it's vital importance to your salvation.
The Spirit is the reason so many people hate Christians. They cannot, without accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior come to God and share in His grace. We are different we are spiritual beings!
The Spirit, of God, is the reason for our persecution. We cannot bow to, submit to, or fall in line with other, so called, religions, because according to the Bible, the written Word of God, Christianity is the ultimate view of religion. Look at - James 1:27- "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." This command, alone, makes us different!
Confirmation of James 1:27 is found in 2 Corinthians 6:14. "Do not be yoked together, involved with, (contractually), with unbelievers: for what fellowship does righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?" (Remember keep yourself unspotted from the world.) If you encounter darkness - FLEE - because it will put out your light.
Look at the key words in this scripture; pure, un-defiled, un-spotted from the world. If you need a dictionary to look up these words, please don't hesitate to go get it. This is important that you know what this means to you.
2. James 4:4 - 7 "You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whosoever, therefore will be a friend of the world is an enemy of God. 5. Do you think that the scripture says in vain, the Spirit that dwells in you lusteth to envy? 6. But He gives more grace. Wherefore He says, God resists the proud, but give grace to the humble. 7. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
In all that this scripture says, I see the most important part is verse 7. The problem is just like pain - without pain you won't know that something is wrong. Likened to the spirit, without it you can't possibly know how to resist the devil!
If anyone believes they can operate on both planes, worldly and Godly, you are in for a big let down!
Of course, this is a very small portion of connecting with the Spirit of God, but it's a good start.
Whether or not you hear the warning - it's always there, and it's up to you to learn how to listen for it!
I've always been amazed at how God can give His children warnings of things to come before they do, and the children don't or can't hear it! This is a major confusion to many who call themselves believers because of their lack of knowledge of the Spirit of God.
I've taught these principles in Bibles studies, Sunday schools, conferences, as a volunteer in the S C prison system, and I'm always amazed at how little humans know about the power that God has given us to overcome things that the devil sends against us. However, all the blame for bad things happening is not the devil's doing. Many of us are our own worst enemy!
The Bible warns us about many things, but pride is right up there at the top. This is one of the devil's favorite weapons to use on the believer, because it comes so natural to the human soul. This particular weapon has brought down many believers, when they refused to let go of it, and repent before God. The Word is very specific about the consequences of hanging on to your pride.
Look at Proverbs 16:18, 19 - Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. 18. Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud."
You need to understand that God has a reason for everything that He does.
You need to understand that God has a reason for everything that He does.
